Over the course of a year, you'll be under the expert guidance of Mandy Tulloch, honing your movement, presence, and confidence to be show-ready like never before.
But hey, no need to worry about previous dance or performance experience – this class is all about having a blast while learning! Mandy will lead you through performance movement techniques, body alignment, and breathing, learning routines infused with the magic and high standards that Disney expects from its cast members.
The end result? Nothing short of amazing! Picture yourself dancing down Main Street USA as a part of the Disneyland Halloween Parade, surrounded by the enchantment of Disney, captivating the audience with your newfound skills and contagious energy! This journey will be filled with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories – because, let's be honest, who isn't in love with Disney? Let the magic begin!
About the Disney Trip:

- Travel to Disneyland California, Fall 2024 to dance in the “Dance The Magic” Main Street USA Halloween parade.

- The class costume is included in your class fees. Disney provides the parade costume, which is included in your Disney Package. Shoes are NOT included and range between $75-$100 USD

- Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
​
- Children 12 and up can be accompanied by a Sitka/Tulloch Academy chaperone, of which we have a few volunteers, we will place 2 children with one chaperone and the guardian of these children will cover the cost of the chaperone.
- Families can travel to California, and stay with our group or on their own as long as they have communicated that ahead of the final confirmation date (TBD) so we can arrange the proper park passes and clearances.
FAQ
If we want to check out the class can we do so before registering?
Definitely. We will have a Q+A day, but if you’d like to attend the first class prior to registering you may do so for a $25 auditing fee.
Is this a dance class?
While the parade performance at Disney will be mostly dance movements, that is not all we teach in this class. Sitka is a performance school and we focus most of our instruction on the art of entertaining. While dance classes tend to focus on the precision of movement and everyone looking identical, we embrace the individuality of each performer and work to bring that out in a cohesive performance.
Are there programs to help with the cost?
Sitka Stage & Screen has a bursary program you can apply for that covers up to 50% of the cost of your class. Please contact us separately about this. We also have a specific team running fundraisers throughout the year for our Disney Classes.
What happens if my child gets sick and can't come to class?
Life happens. While we do expect a certain level of commitment from our students we understand that families make plans and that other things can't be planned. We ask that you do your best to let us know what's going on as early as possible so we can make any necessary adjustments.
What is included in the Disney Package?
Your Disney Package includes: 2 Day Park Hopper Ticket, 2 Night hotel accommodation, professional photos and videos, Costume, VIP experiences, an exclusive party inside a Disney Park, a private VIP celebration breakfast, a VIP dance luncheon, Disney California Adventure Park. Their performance in the parade down Main Street USA, Personalized Feedback from Dance The Magic creative team, Disney swag: Lanyard, pin, tshirt, and more!
What is the cost of the Disney portion?
Disney has not released this years payment information, but we will update with what we know as soon as we receive it. In the past the prices have been between $1,000 USD to $1,500 USD per person, not including airfare/travel.

The class ends in June, but the parade is in the Fall?
Yes! Our final class and Year End performance are in June. After that the students will be released to enjoy their summer. We will come back in September for few classes to refresh before heading to Disney.

September 30th 2023: Deadline to register for Sitka's Disney Class
January 1st 2024: Deadline for collection of 1st Disneyland deposit (ie. The difference of $100 USD to CAD will be calculated and collected from parents.) This is refundable should you decide to back out of Disney trip
March 1st 2024: Deadline for collection of 2nd Disneyland deposit (ie. The difference of $300 USD to CAD will be calculated and collected from parents.) This is refundable should you decide to back out of Disney trip
June 1st 2024: Deadline for FINAL payment, all remaining funds for your selected package is due. This is NON REFUNDABLE
June 2024: Sitka Stage & Screen's year end performance. Final dates TBD.
September 2024: Refresher classes
October 2024: Disneyland Trip
